Direction Tutoring runs online maths tutoring for NSW high school students. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. When you register for one of our events or get in touch, we collect:

• Student name and email address

• Parent or guardian email address

• School, course (Advanced or Extension 1), and current mark or band estimate

• How you heard about us

• Work you submit to us, such as exam papers, and the marks and feedback we produce from it

When you visit directiontutoring.com we also collect standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the site you came from — along with advertising data through the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API.

Why we collect it

• To run the event you registered for and to contact you about it

• To mark your work and give you and your parent or guardian feedback on it

• To tell parents and guardians about our tutoring programs

• To measure and improve our advertising

Students under 18: Most of our students are under 18. We ask for a parent or guardian's email address at registration, and we send program and pricing information to parents and guardians rather than to students. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete their child's information. Email directiontutoring@gmail.com and we will action it.

Advertising: We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. Our website uses the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, which share information about your visit and your registration with Meta so we can measure how our ads perform. Meta handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Who else sees your information: We use the following services to run the business, and your information may be stored in them:

• Google — Sheets, Classroom, Forms, Gmail

• Meta and TikTok — advertising

• Discord — event delivery and community

• Zapier — connecting the above

• Framer — this website

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing. How long we keep it. We keep registration and student records while you are involved with Direction Tutoring and for up to two years afterwards, then delete them. Access, correction and deletion
